We've added 2 new fun contests to the mix on the website. We hope that they are as fun for our readers as they are for us. Since I love giving out prizes but also love it when readers share their ideas with us, I felt it was a perfect fit.
1. Party Ideas- Share your favorite party ideas with us! If you have thrown a baby shower recently, all you have to do is share your party ideas with us. What was the theme you used? What did you do for decorations, food and games? We would love to hear about it!

Baby Shower Pictures- Just How Important Are They?
Very Important. I wish I had baby shower pictures from my baby showers. I had 2 baby showers thrown for me (1 for each child) and I have nothing to show from it. I think back on all of the work that the hostesses put into making my baby shower special. They made fun favors and great food. There were decorations and games. They spent so much time and effort on the shower that it would of been nice to have some pictures of their work.
And of course I would like to see me with the big belly! But with digital cameras and great sharing sites like Snapfishand Kodak , the baby shower pictures can be a so easy to take.

What I am thankful for...
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and it is the time of year we think about what we are thankful for. As the owner of a baby shower website, there are many things I am thankful for. I hope you don't mind me sharing a little about my website with you.
I started my website February 2006, in order to supplement my husband's income while still being able to stay home with my son. There are not too many jobs out there that allow you to stay at home, believe me, I researched a long time before discovering how to do it. You can read my whole story here.
I started out not knowing anything about building a website. But the host that I used, Site Build It, provided tons of information to walk me through the whole process. I was able to find a subject that I love to write about and make money while building a fun and informative website.
It's true that it does take a lot of work to run a website. It is not a get quick rich process, but it is worth it! I currently get 2100-2300 unique visitors a day and about 60,000 unique visitors a month to my website, and it is ranked in the top 1% of the Internet. Which means I am in the top percentage that gets all the traffic. The best part is I can take a day off here and there and still get paid for it, I am able to work the hours that I choose, and I don't have to worry about sales or shipping anything.
My diaper photo gallery is the largest on the web, and I get lots of emails from people that I have helped with my website. I make enough to easily cover my mortgage payment, and also some extra money to spend on my family.
The most important thing that I have gained is the freedom to choose where I want to live, rather than depending on how well my husband's work is going.

How To Make A Diaper Cake
Diaper cakes are a beautiful way to give needed baby items to a mom to be. The first impression most of us have is of an edible cake. No need for the horrified looks. It is actually quite pretty. (and no, you don't eat it! ;) ) What exactly is a diaper cake?
It is a three tier (or more) cake made of diapers. It is made by a process of rolling diapers to look like a wedding cake. After the diapers are in place, you can then decorate the cake with baby items, silk flowers and ribbon. I get this baby shower etiquette question alot, both from expecting mothers and anxious hostesses. It is true that baby showers used to be given only for first children, and second baby showers were frowned upon as money grabber parties. But the etiquette rules have laxed a little over the last 30 years. It is now ok to have a baby shower for baby #2 and beyond.
Baby showers are a celebration of life and love. It is a chance for loving friends and family to gather together to show their support for both the expecting mom to be and her family. There are still rules of etiquette to follow when throwing a baby shower. It is best to brush up on your etiquette before throwing a shower, so you know the current etiquette rules.
