Jacobs’ friends call him the dream king. For years Jacob has always had dreams that have fascinated his friends. As usual Jacobs’ friends were waiting patiently for his bus to arrive at school. Today,they were betting what his latest dream would be about. They were so excited when his bus finally arrived. All of them ran over to him. Jacob,hurry up and tell us your latest dream. I will in 1 minute let me get in the building.
All of you are going to love this dream. It is about 2 archenemies a superhero named Night Piercer and a villain named Spike-Man. As I was falling asleep last night, a villain broke into our school He was smashing computers,busting windows, throwing desks and chairs,emptying files, ripping books and papers,and defacing the walls with permanent markers. I was determined to have him arrested. I knew when I called 911 I would have to give them a detailed description. I viewed the video a few times and I noticed 2 things. He was on the tall side. I knew the operator would need more details.
She would need something that would distinguish him from everyone else. Well Jacob,did something stand out? Not at 1st so I watched the video again. That was when I noticed he had Spike-Man written across his shirt. I paused it and then I noticed there was something strange about his hands. I backed the video up again and froze 4 pictures side by side. I got my answer he attached spikes to the end of his fingers and thumbs. The next thing I did was call 911.
I was able to give the operator a detailed description of the villain. The policemen were here within 5 minutes. You are not going to believe what happened next. What tell us! The next thing I knew SM had seriously wounded all 5 of the policemen. I ran to my locker to get my cell phone to call 911 again. Two ambulances came immediately, and the policemen were taken to the emergency room. Now, I was nervous and scared.
Suddenly, someone flew through the window. I could see he was very tall. Again, I looked at the video and froze a series of pictures. That was when I noticed he had Night Piercer written across his shirt. I magnified one of the pictures and I saw something in his left hand and there was something attached to his head. I froze another series of pictures and magnified them and I got my answer. NP had a golf club in his left hand and 2 horns attached to his head.
That is when the battle between The NP and The SM began. The first thing SM did was sucker punch NP. Well SM may have gotten the first punch but NP got the next 10 and won the fight. I started to laugh at SM. I was thrilled that NP won.
Guess what… for some reason I thought NP and Nick were the same person. I also started to wonder if SM and Chris were the same person. Chris interrupted….Jacob, why is Nick the superhero ? Chris, it is a dream don’t take it so personally. Anyway,I started to put the puzzle together. I did not have time to figure it out because NP and SM were fighting again.This time the first punch was from NP. I was excited but SM was stunned. I could just tell this was going to be a great battle. Next, NP rammed his horns into SM; SM countered it with a punch to the chest. When this happened NP’s veins popped out and he was furious. Then NP punched SM 8 times. SM was pretty messed up. Oh well! Now, NP was on a roll, he threw 5 steel balls in the air and hit them with his golf club, all 5 steel balls went through SMs’ body. SM tried to fly away but that was not happening. SM needed medical attention but I did not care. I was cheering when NP put a sudden stop on the terror SM was causing. NP had saved the day!!
Hey Jacob, can you do a quick Q and A session? Yes! Tell us about NP powers. Ok…. NP had the power to throw people up to 300ft. and can fly up to 100mph. He can also throw steel balls completely through his enemies bodies at 110mph. He is also capable of ramming his enemies with his horns and hitting people with his golf club. Wow! Don’t you think it would be cool if we could travel with NP? Yes,it would be an adventure. However, NP is a superhero in my dreams.The bell rang… I promise we can continue the q and a tomorrow and who knows maybe I will have another dream to share!
Y0!! fellow gamers/animers/book-worms :). Those of you who played hellgate london and appreciated it must have come across a trilogy on Hellgate London written by Mel Odom. Fully action-packed and it will surely haunt you in dreams if you are reading it before bedtime :). I was totally engulfed by the idea of being a Templar Knight (Yes the same knights of Templar, King Arthur but more technologically advanced) .

These three novels are set 18,14 and 13 years respectively before the Game. Those of you who haven’t watched the cinematic of hellgate london game can watch it here -
The Novel starts when hellgates have opened in London and demons are overflowing in the streets of London killing every living thing they encounter. There are various underground organizations which are fighting against them. Mainly these organizations are based on the the three character classes which are shown in the game. The main classes being the Templars, Cabalists and hunters. The Templars believed in the eradication of whole demon race while Cabalists wanted to control the Demons and use them for their benefits. Simon Cross - the templar knight and Warren Schimmer - the Cabalist are two very strong characters in the novel and your loyalities are likely to shift as the novel progresses.
I was literally hooked to the novel. At a point of time I was having dreams of being a Templar and hacking the demons down every last bit of them. The technology blended with the arcane forces which can immolate the demons is a marvel to read.
For those of you who are somewhat familiar with the demon ranks and lords, you will find pretty much of those are depicted in the novel. A very interesting and fascinating plot although after reading the 3rd part you will be craving for more. The Novels have a very strong appeal, not only to the gamers but also for those who like to read sci-fi/fantasy stuff. The characters are extremely powerful and the writing style is meticulously though over and then put into this novel. You would be having frequent adrenaline boosts while reading this novel, and the best way to utilize that boost is to play the game along with the reading of novel. It would a unique experience, one of its kind.

June-28th Blizzard confirmed Diablo-3 and released the gameplay videos , cinematics and artwork for Diablo-3. This sneak peak into Diablo 3 has surely created an adrenaline rush amongst the huge and massive fans of diablo 2 who were eagerly awaiting any development news on Diablo 3. My eyes Popped when I saw the announcement of Diablo - 3. Diablo 2 was a pure source of battle lust for the battle hungry gamers and seems like Diablo-3 will increase that by much more than anticipated. Diablo-3 would be a pure source of adrenaline boost and food for battle lust.The Gameplay footage is very promising, amazing eye catching graphics with newt character animation and design has always been blizzard’s speciality and in the gameplay video it speaks for itself.
Also Diablo 2 was a co-operative game meaning a treat for lan players/ MMORPG players. Diablo 3 will surely boost up the co-operative gaming in a new direction

As described by my gamer friend Diablo -2 ended on an abrupt note and the sequel was long awaited. Seems the wait is still long atleast an year. But Blizzard will make sure that the wait is worth. Have a look at the gameplay video and then you will realize what power and entertainment diablo 3 holds for the diablo fans. In the sneak peak blizzard has only shown one new character class and atleast one more new character would be grealy expected by the diablo lovers. The artwork released by Blizzard is awesome. Decard Cain reappears in Diablo 3. This will undoubtedly be the best release of 2009 in the RPG section. Kudos .
Law Of Ueki (a 51 – episode anime) revolves around a high school student Kosuke Ueki. Basically in the heaven a new God is about to be chosen so the God Candidates are required to choose a representative from earth to fight for them. The student is given a unique power and he/she has to defeat as many representatives as possible thereby making his/her god Candidate the New god of Heaven. Also the winning representative will get Blank Zai (talent), which allows them to choose any talent of their liking. (Duh.. if it would have been me I would chose to be the most chaotic person)
An interesting Battle System is being shown in the anime which normally is seen in the video games.
Kosuke Ueki
The rules for the battle are interesting for God Candidates as well as their chosen representatives. Now Ueki who was chosen by Kobasen (A good God Candidate) in a small age has the power to turn trash into trees (you must be think what a waste but it’s a studmax power). Ueki is portrayed as a child having unique sense of justice to help others he dreams of a world of goodness.
It is a fast paced anime and becomes intriguing as the tournament begins, new characters with different powers makes it all the more interesting. The levelling up of Ueki Kosuke is an awesome process. He gains all the 10 heavenly sacred treasures and finally fights the most feared villain in the series “Anon” who has also absorbed a 10 star heavenly being.
Anime characters being very simple in design are very cutely drawn and cool and some of them are damn humorous. The unique battle system shown in here goes intense as the anime progresses. Again as a typical Japanese animation, Law of Ueki inspires you to be a good person and gives you an encouragement to struggle for your cause :).
Totally action packed anime with humor bits in between plus since its a complete series so it is at an advantage. Here’s a video for the opening theme of Law Of Ueki , Hope you will enjoy the anime

Though being a huge fan of Tolkein, I was looking for something different, a new approach to the genre.I started reading this series a couple of months back when I was desperately searching for an author who writes excellent high fantasy.

And Gardens of the moon turned out to be a master piece. The story starts with a coupd’etat of an empire by the head of the assassin branch CLAW. What ensues is chaos in the noble class. There’s trouble in the empire’s borders. A group of marines marches at the head of the army to vanquish the rebellion.
The marines take the centre stage with a lot of interesting characters. Oh..there are intrigues, corrupt nobleman, warring factions, wizards, there are ascendants there are shape shifters and then there are GODS who play their games in the mortal realm. That’s hell of a lot of characters and sure you are going to fall in love with some of them and want to strangle some others.
The characters are deep, with almost real emotions, there’s a lot of funny rambling going on in the story line among the characters and frankly its interesting most of the times. The storyline itself is very rich spanning across millennia and evolves over the series. The story has an all new set of races (not the usual Orc, Elf, Dwarf, Human). War, magic and lots of action is ensured in the first volume.
This series was originally envisioned to be a RPG, however it came out as a fantasy masterpiece. If you are a fantasy lover then pick it up from the nearest stand, as i said either you will love it or hate it.
Just like a shinigami without a matching sword is waster , a gamer without a similar mouse and a supporting mousepad would not be able to perform to his/her full capacity.
