Hi there I am Alanmith. I'm so glad that I've found this forum.I have pets shop. I really really love pets. I'm looking forward to knowing more information about pets that I don't know before. Hope to have a great time here. Nice to meet you all up here.
I agree with more meals. It helps your dog know that more is always coming and this isn't the last meal for a long while.
I often hand feed my dogs. I dislike dogs snatching treats from myhands or crazy eaters. I often play with their food and have my handsin the bowl as they eat giving them some as they go. I take chews fromthem and give it back so they know there is no reason to stuff it inthe belly right away.
I think it's gross but... I want my dogs to be gentle enough with food that they will take it from my mouth without ouchies.
Wondered if anyone had this problem with their kitty and had any advice for me, mine has hurt his cruciate ligament, helped by anti inflammatory the first time but he started limping again so took him back to the vet and this time the injection hasnt helped. he is nearly 12 and otherwise in good health (ignoring the occasional urinary issue). I don't know how long to wait to see if the injection works as last time I was told to wait 3 weeks and then go back to see if it had got any better. Also - the vet said that ligament/tendon injuries tend to heal slowly in cats....
Next issue is that we dont have insurance. does everyone have some kind of cover? does anyone have any recommendations?
thanks very much

Hi Tinsel,
It's probably a bit late now, but what the vet said in my case is correct. My cat had the same problem early last year and it took a couple of months to fully clear up. Has he covered now?
As for pet insurance there are many companies out there offering cover for both cats and dogs. I was with Virgin who are ok, but I have recently switched over to Healthy Pets for a better deal.
Yes there is puppy food and adult food has different nutrients in them as well as other things, you might get more info here http://www.dogaware.com/dogfeeding.html
