Whatever form it takes, dancing is one of the best ways to feel great. All we need is some great music and a party just gets better as everyone has a great time moving according to the music. Ballroom dances are looked at the world over as an art, fun to do as well as beautiful to watch.

Although now there’s a range of dances that fall into the category of ballroom dances, it started off with only a few. Ballroom dances are a set of dances that require partners, and are now seen both in the social arena and in competitions around the world. Ballroom dances are considered a form of social dancing, and were initially started as a dance form for the richer in society, while folk dancing was considered for those in the lower social status levels in society Since then however, the definition of ballroom dances has blurred, and now we see that ballroom dances have pervaded all social levels of society, whether rich or poor.

The younger generation have become interested in these kind of ballroom dances, and more and more are visiting dance studios in an effort to learn this elegant dance form. Ballroom dances require a lot of agility, physical strength, concentration and coordination from both men and women, and it is no wonder then that some look on ballroom dances as a source of exercise, although in a much more fun way! In the United States there are two kinds of dance styles that are included when talking about ballroom dances. They are American Smooth and American Rhythm. Ballroom dances like the Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and Viennese Waltz fall into the first category - American Smooth.

These are all dance styles that are considered classical. The American rhythm includes dances like Cha Cha, Rumba, Mambo, Bolero and East Coast Swing. These more modern ballroom dances, benefit from the contribution of Latin American influence. Ballroom dances have come a long way, not just in time, but right across the world, becoming more popular in Asia too.

Like all old things that have survived the test of time, ballroom dances bring with them a sense of timeless elegance, and it’s certainly something to say that you know how to dance the waltz or the tango. Dressing up, and dancing to smooth music with a great partner is guaranteed to make anyone feel special and is a one of a kind experience.

I overheard an interesting conversation the other day. The woman that was talking to another said that she believes we are all ‘connected’.

After thinking it over for a bit, a few questions came to mind.

If we are all connected then why do people feel lonely at times? One would presume that if we were all connected that it would be impossible to feel isolated or lonely.

Another thought is that if we are all connected why do we have so much trouble understanding each other?

Why do people miscommunicate so often? This doesn’t require much explanation because frankly, everyone has experienced the effect of misunderstandings in even the most basic of human communication.

Why do people fear telling others about bad breath, when it is easily solved with a product like therabreath? It is an act of kindness to tell someone.

Why are their wars? If we were so wonderfully connected there shouldn’t be any warfare. Any issues that come up would be rapidly solved by the innated understanding that should come from being connected.

Why is there so much diversity in our various belief systems and backgrounds. Let us face it, many cultures are almost diametrically opposed. One cultures ‘normal’ idea is another’s radical thought. This is similar to freedom fighters and terrorism. What one man calls a terrorist, another man will call a freedom fighter. This is living proof that our perceptions and beliefs are radically different from each other.

One some people call evil, others call good. How can this be? If something is bad or evil, it just is so. Why would someone else call it good?

With so many different ways of thinking, so many different believes, so many different value systems and all the variations of human thinking – how could we be all ‘connected’.

How come more people don’t find out about a good thing, such as Oramd, more quickly, if we are all, ‘connected’? 

I’m not sure there is a good answer to this. All I can say is that if *I* were in charge – all of these problems would go away! Ok- Just kidding. I’m not such an egoist.

Have you ever had the distinct notion that people really do not know what they want or even what they are looking for?  I believe this to be true because you can find someone who states that they want a solution to something. You offer them the perfect solution and yet they are not interested.

Next, you see this person get something that you know for sure is not going to help them solve the problem they stated to you.  It is really interesting. 

You try to help someone and they turn down that help and go in a direction that you know will not help them.  Some people have to learn the hard way, I guess.  In fact, it seems that most people have to learn the hard way. 

It is also insulting when people don’t trust you enough to take your advice. But, that is life. Everyone, is living in a world of confusion. If they knew the perfect answer for themselves, they wouldn’t be looking for any answers.

This shows how incredibly ignorant human kind is. I am not singling anyone out here. I am including myself. So do not think that I am talking directly to you.  I really mean all of us that are human. 

Take the topic of gum disease for example. It is an important problem that many people have.  Yet, most people are not aware that they even have gum disease.  They will not believe you even if you tell them.

However, the statistics that dental care professionals share with us indicate that up to 80% of people have gum disease right now.  You can talk to people until you are blue in the face about this problem, but they still won’t believe they have it or that they should do anything about it. 

It is kind of like bad breath. Many people have it, but they don’t seem to realize that they have it.  They get use to their own breath.

The majority of the world’s population is right handed, but left handed people shouldn’t be left out. There are certain activities with which left-handers have difficulty, particularly playing guitar. However, what if playing guitar may be the thing missing in your life. Are you truly hopeless in this situation? You shouldn’t since learning to play guitar can be done by anyone who has two hands.

It won’t be easy at all, but you will impress a lot of people by playing guitar as a lefty. The following tips should help steer you in the right direction while you learn to play guitar.

1. Choosing the proper guitar is the most important part if you are lefty wanting to play. When choosing your guitar, there are 2 options you can make. The first alternative is to use a guitar for right handed people and have the strings repositioned. If you do not know how to change the positions yourself, seek assistance from a guitar expert. I don’t recommend doing this for all people, but some feel comfortable playing like this.

If you don’t like this setup, you need to get a guitar designed for left-handed people. That’s right, now you can order a guitar customized for left-handed people. Prior to purchasing the left-handed guitar, there are two choices their are some things to consider.

2. Guitar lessons for left handed people are sometimes a waste. Since most guitarists are right handed, lessons are geared toward them and you could become confused. If you will constantly keep this in mind and reverse the lessons, all should fall into line.

#3. While looking to buy a new guitar, be sure that you purchase one from a store of good standing. For unfortunately there are stores which offer defective guitars, particularly when they see that you are a novice, left handed guitarist. Make sure you look at different stores, and ask friends if they know the right place to go that you could go to. Also, you can do your shopping online and there you will certainly find a multitude of options.

4. Make sure you always keep your head up along the way. Without confidence, you may feel embarrassed and/or nervous anytime you play the instrument, especially if there are other people around. You may feel annoyed at the fact that you are left handed, but you can easily overcome that. You could be the next guitarist people will always remember such as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and Jeff Beck.

5. If you are a novice left handed guitarist, it is advisable not to play guitar with right handed people. Their is no doubt that you will run into conflicts with the guitar chords. Some complex chords will be very hard to play.

#6. Enjoying yourself is the most important aspect of learning to play guitar. Some right handed guitars may be tempting to buy, but try to stick with the left handed one.

Make sure you keep these tips in mind, they will no doubt be helpful in your success. When a person is given the tools they need to do something, everything is much easier and simpler to do. Everything will seem much more natural and you will have a very exciting experience if you just follow these tips.

Another piece of advice I have for you is to take vocal classes as it will improve your singing. No matter how good a singer you are a singing coach will improve your voice and also you chance to become a great singer. The key to strengthening your voice and quality is vocal training.

Even if you aren’t an experienced singer but you still want to know how to be a singer, than you should definitely start gaining some stage experience.
