Contents:

Gold Rush
Im having a golden moment... having found my mums unworn gold padlock and chain i decided it was just the thing to go with my 'dogeared' red linin karma bracelet, this started my obsession for all things with a gold glint and i found this old gold locket in a antiques market and gold clock winder in a draw! Now i just want the 'dogeared' gold dipped karma necklace to finish off my bling! Darn xmas being so far away!!

ooo topshop
Loving the new Topshop ad, sultry red lips and sequins with a bouffant hair do is defo my next night out look!

NEWS FLASH!

I've just found this amazing free program downloadable at http://www.poladroid.net, and it makes your boring old digi photos into Polaroids in a matter of seconds! Ive only had a quick play with it but here's some of my own snaps made cool!

Polaroid present please...?!

Top of my wish list right now is a Polaroid camera. I need to find a very cheap one though as my budget is very limited. During my research I found these pretty snaps on the tint, i love the soft focused romantic and vintage look about them. Hmm, when a camera makes the most mundane life have a rosy glow like that surely that's worth the stretch!

Pre-raphaelite delight
Ophelia - J.E.Millais

Ophelia - J.W.Waterhouse

Lady of Shalott - J.W.Waterhouse

Looking at the brilliant blog 'fashionroadkill.blogspot.com' i looked a beautiful photograph featured which reminded me i really should post something on the Pre-Raphaelite movement, as i think (as obviously the bbc does with their new show 'desprate romantics') that these paintings are still as modern and popular today as then. Almost photographic these paintings are the Tim Walker images of the 19th century! full of fantacy beauty and drama.

Ah Ellery..
Find me on Polyvore

Quick click on the Ellery site...an Australian designer her past collection photographs are Divine!
Unfortunately though i don't think her clothes are on sale over here so here is my polyvore featuring a dress + boots from Topshop, belt from Miss selfridge and necklace by Dogeared to show you how to get your own 'cooler than thou' look!

Every girl should buy this book!
My holiday read of choice was this beautiful little book by Gisele Scanlon. The goddess Guide.

A friend brought it for me for my birthday this year and its totally become my new bible! Every page is exquisitely decorated by the Gisele- a talented illustrator, and there are tips on everything from fashion to beauty, travel to food; all dispersed with lovely little anecdotes by the author. As well as using her insights to find bargains and memorable trips each page provides a wealth of inspiration for my work. Buy this book...your book shelf will have never looked prettier!

Im back from Rhodes!
my blogs have been a little thin on the ground recently as I've been on holiday on the beautiful island of Rhodes and been staying with my bf in Birmingham so haven't had much time at the computer screen sorry! anyway here's a taste of my fab time away...

burlesque baby!

Whilst flicking through old Vogue's I found this gorgeous shoot which is so relevant to my latest party outfit cravings! my sequin hotpants from Topshop (as seen on my profile pic) are fun but not very wearable, what Im really after is a sequin bolero jacket.
lovely images anyway, due to my love for the Moulin rouge style I might frame the black and white ones in ornate gold frames.

her smile..her kiss...her perfume

i love that old Chanel No 5 advert with Nicole Kidman, produced by the great Baz Lurhman in a very Moulin Rouge style (one of my fave films) i wish the full version was still on, i cant be the only one who really wanted to buy that perfume after seeing it so it obviously worked!
Love the New York scenes mixed with a french moulin rouge style light-up sign reading 'Chanel' aaaa chanel....

current inspirational pictures...

Tim Walker again with these beautiful other-worldly images from Vogue

Maryna Linchuk
