Fabio Cannovaro Not Committed Any Doping Offence
Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro has cleared doping drug test said the Italian Olympic Committee. Italian skipper took a medicine containing banned substance cortisone after a wasp sting failed. Case was dropped at the request of Coni anti-doping prosecutor.
Cannavaro said you are stung by bees and find yourself in newspapers and media. He is unhappy about his treatment by media. He added saying

Cannavaro requested an exemption after being treated foe sting but did not receive any documentation before he was tested. He was suspended for Italy’s 2-2 draw in Ireland now guaranteed their place in World Cup finals in South Africa and is planning to play home game with Cyprus.
Justine Henin Wild Card Entry For Australian Open
Justine Henin former world’s number one champion approved for a wildcard for the 2010 Australian Open. Belgian player announced in the month of September that she would come out of retirement in 2010 after 18 months. Craig Tiley tournament director has confirmed 2004 champion Henin will play for the Grand Slam.

David Beckham Deal Likely Utters Milan
AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani claims it is likely David Beckham will rejoin the Italian club on loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy in the January transfer window. Gilliani said at a meeting in Monaco it is very likely that Beckham will come to Milan on loan until June 30 however, he could not consider anything finalized until there is a signature.

Zersenay Tadese Secures Third Half Marathon Title
Zersenay Tadese rushed forward and cleared after 10 km to secure a third successive World Half Marathon title in Birmingham. Eritrean lowered the championship record he shared with Shem Kororia by 21 seconds to finish in 59 minutes and 35 seconds. Kenyan Bernard Kipyego along with Andrew Lemoncello chased Tadese.
Kenyan leading Mary Keitany easily won the women’s title from start to finish. Keitany smashed the championship record of Britains’s Paula Radcliffe who missed the race with tonsillitis in one hour six minutes and 36 seconds. However, Teammate Philes Ongori who passed Aberu Kebede in closing stage finished in 1 hr 7mins
and 38 seconds. Kenya claimed the team title, Ethiopia second followed by Russia in third position. Claire Hallissey the British women in 25th position finished seventh in team standing. Britain men finished 14th with Kenya winning a fourth successive team title. Coach Ian Stewart said UK athletics did very well finishing seventh. It is a young team with lots to learn. He added saying he was bit disappointed with men’s team position. Andy Lemoncolla had a great run however, few of the athletes could have done better it was a learning curve.
Felipe Massa Completes The First F1 Test
After spending 79 days recovering from life, threatening head injuries of fractured skull Felipe Massa tested the Formula 1 car for the first time after the injury. Ferrari said he would not return to competition in 2009. Brazilian was at the wheel of a slick tyred Ferrari at the Italian team’s test circuit Fiorano. Massa is making good progress since his crash and qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix and he tested an F2007 in Italy on Monday.
However, Ferrari has said they want to proceed gradually and do not intend to rush him before he is physically and mentally fit and ready. F1 is ready to wait until the start of 2010. Massa underwent neurological tests in Paris on
Friday. According to Ferrari, the outcome was rather positive prompting the decision to allow him to get behind the wheel of a privately owned F2007. Season testing is banned however; the sports governing body gave Massa permission to test using GP2 Tyres at Ferrari’s test track at Fiorano as part of his analysis. Ferrari insisted there is no chance of a comeback in 2009.As per the Ferrari statement this is in no way a proper test session and looking at the stopwatch will not be on the agenda.
