*** It’s not them going out of their way…I wasn’t even suppose to know the date, but one let it slip, and I have a birthday party that day. When I offer the addresses, I get told they have them already, which is impossible, and pretty presumptious, don’t you think? They were completely leaving people I would invite off. And neither my hubby or I wanted to send invites to grandparents he doesn’t talk to, instead birth announcements…feels too much like panhandling…And it isn’t about PRESENTS. That is what I keep getting told. “Be happy you get presents, invite everyone you’ve ever met”…how rude and presumpteous! I would never invite people I hardly now just to get presents. At the same time, I have a few close friends that are not associated with any of these ladies I would like to invite and they were to be left off the list. Is this wrong?
And it isn’t the surprise, but more the attitude I get when I ask a question about it. And I’m actually very even keel pregnat.
**And I am thankful…I didn’t have a shower with my daughter, and did everything myself, so I do appreciate it, just don’t like the attitude I am catching about details. FYI, my s-i-l seems to understand where I am coming from…
