Cape Cod is very popular among tourists, although throughout the year you will find tourists. It is never crowded, like it is during the short summer months, between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Now there are tons of places to visit, a lot of sight seeing to do out here.

The first place you must visit in Cape Cod is the Museum of Natural history, situated in the town of Brewster. It is here, that your children can learn a lot about natural history and can also rediscover things.

Then comes, the historic town of Dennis. Here, you can visit the Cape Playhouse. It is one of America’s oldest summer theaters. This is the birthplace of famous names like Gregory Peck, Humphrey Bogart, Julie Harris and Lana turner. If you are lucky enough you can also catch a good musical, play or comedy out here.

If art is what you are interested in, then there are many art galleries in Wellfleet, which is also known as “the artists home”. You can take at look at maps available at all information kiosks or you could take a walking tour of all the art galleries. Some are even found in the old post office buildings. Provincetown is home to art museums and associations.

If you have children, you could also visit the Woods Hole Science Aquarium with 140 species of marine animals, a seal pool and two touch tanks for children. Another fun thing you can do, if you are in Barnstable Village is avail of the “Ghost Tours”. You will enjoy the walk through graveyards, historic building and lots of interesting places which have had paranormal activities.

If spirits are not your cup of tea, you could board a cruise for whale watching in The Barnstable Harbor. You could also visit the Chatham Railroad Theatre, which is one of the few remains of the old Chatham Railroad. You children will love the antique trains and different models.
