Buy Obama Halloween Costume
I’ll be posting some links to the best places online to buy an Obama Halloween costume. For now, the best deals I’ve seen online are at Amazon. There’s a nice variety of Obama masks and costumes (both Barack and Michelle), and more importantly, I just trust their shipping methods. While I don’t doubt the methods of other retailers online, I know what I’m getting with Amazon and I’m comfortable with them. The ordering process is always easy. Anyway, without further ado, here are some Obama Halloween costumes for your enjoyment. Check ‘em out and buy one if you like it.
Probably the most accurate Obama mask I’ve seen
A laughing Obama
A vinyl Barack mask
A more creative approach – Zombie Obama!
Michelle Obama mask
Think you can pull it off without the mask? Just get the wig then.
About Us
Halloween is an incredibly fun time of the year, but I’ve always had a hard time thinking up costumes. I spend way too much time dwelling on what to wear, and end up deciding last minute. You probably found us because you were proactive about your situation this year and decided that an Obama Halloween costume might be a good idea.
Well, guess what? I’m here to tell you that I approve. I think it’s a great idea, and there are plenty of ways to creatively go above and beyond the traditional mask. We’ll discuss them here. Whether you’re buying a Barack or Michelle Obama Halloween costume or making your own, there are endless ways to skin the cat.
Thanks for stopping by. Let’s have some fun.
Michelle Obama Halloween Costumes
It’s that time of year again – only this time there’s a brand new first lady in town. The Michelle Obama Halloween costumes will officially make their introduction this year. Laura Bush was never really an amusing Halloween costume. Nancy Reagan was always an interesting one (maybe because of her age?) and people loved to dress up as Hillary last decade (and then as Monica Lewinsky even more so). I even remember some Barbara Bush costumes here and there.
There was really nothing interesting or funny about dressing up as Laura Bush, unless you did it in conjunction with someone dressed up as George himself. I couldn’t imagine anyone dressing up as Laura Bush on her own, and I’d be surprised to hear of any people who did.
Whatever the case, I can just about assure you that there will be many more Michelle Obama Halloween costumes this year than there were Laura Bush costumes last year.
This is an interesting first lady. Michelle Obama has been more high profile than a subdued Laura Bush ever was, and she’s definitely in the national spotlight as much as a first lady has been in recent memory.
She’s also young, so many dressing up as her may do so in a way that almost comes off as sexy, dare I say.
Regardless of how you might choose to dress, a Michelle Obama costume shouldn’t be too hard to put together. She doesn’t have the big ears or other exaggerated feature that Barack does. Makeup might be necessary depending upon your skin color, but that aside, it shouldn’t be such a difficult undertaking to throw something together that resembles our first lady.
Like many women, she wears many outfits and mixes up her wardrobe pretty regularly. However, one thing that I have noticed is that she does seem to have a thing for v-necks. Try digging up a v-neck if you can, preferably one that’s a bit on the colorful side. Teals, purples, and reds seem to be her favorite colors to wear. The red may actually be the most recognizable component of a Michelle Obama Halloween costume in her case.
Bonus points if you go to a party with your leading man (Barack) with you, but if you don’t, all is fine. Michelle Obama makes for a great Halloween costume on her own.
I’d never do this myself, but I have to suspect that there are a few daring guys out there who might choose to dress up in a Michelle Obama costume. If you’re a guy and you’re still reading this, all I’ve got to say is that you’re a more daring soul than I am. I’m sure you’ll look stunning come Halloween night.
To the rest of you, have a great Halloween yourselves. Enjoy your night, and don’t stress over how to get your Obama Halloween costume together (there are plenty of options online to buy them and I’d probably suggest this route if you don’t have the outfit yoursef). And remember – don’t take candy from strangers!
Obama Halloween Costumes
So you’re interested in Barack Obama Halloween costumes. Presidential Halloween costumes are always a trendy pick for people. I can remember growing up in the 1980s and seeing Ronald Reagan Halloween masks and costumes being worn every Halloween. More recently, there were the eight long years of Dubya, which started out funny and amusing as far as Halloween costumes go, but 8 years of just about anything gets old quickly.
Well, a new era is upon us. Not only is the nation moving in a new direction, but a new era of Halloween costumes has dawned. I did see a few Barack Obama Halloween costumes last year – but I can guarantee you that this year will bring many more of them. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to see that it was the biggest mover as far as Halloween costumes go (it’s either him, or who – Susan Boyle?). That’d actually be a pretty funny Halloween costume, but my bet’s on far more Obama costumes than those who decide to dress up like the British swooner.
So, how do you go about getting your Obama Halloween costume? Well, there are three routes really.
The most creative people will make the Halloween costumes on their own. This is a heavy task. Some of us don’t have the time in our day to do this kind of thing, and some simply lack the creativity, or the energy to come up with that creativity.
What would go into a homemade Obama Halloween costume, and how exactly do you make your own Obama costume? Well, for one, there’s the trademark suit with blue tie, as you’ve probably seen in so many of his photo shoots.
I don’t know about you, but I like to be a little more comfortable on Halloween, depending on where I’m going. And I’m not ready to drop a couple hundred dollars on an actual Halloween suit either.
Face paint anyone? Depending on your complexion, you just might need that too. I don’t like the feel of makeup all over my face, but maybe that’s just me.
There are other ways around this, of course.
The second thing you can do for a Halloween costume of this sort is to piece together an outfit based on things you already own. I’ve done this with many Halloween costumes in the past and it’s gone over pretty well for me.
Then, of course, there are the many pre-made Obama Halloween costumes for sale in stores and online. This is a hot commodity, and you can be sure to find anything ranging from a simple mask (they look really good) to a full outfit. It all depends on what you want.
Regardless of which route you choose for Halloween, and regardless of whether you love or hate this president, there’s some fun to be had by anyone who chooses to suit up as our commander in chief this year. Enjoy your Halloween, stay safe, and have fun.
And don’t come trick-or-treating at my place, because I’ll be out enjoying myself
