Sasha Grey, the adult superstar and mainstream movie actress, has landed in pictorials inside Playboy and GQ magazine’s German edition. In December’s Playboy, Grey poses nude in a six-page pictorial as “Lolita,” the nubile and seductive title character of Vladimir Nabokov’s most famous work and Stanley Kubrick’s 1962 feature film.

With GQ, Grey has an eight-page pictorial and feature in the November issue. Sasha talks to GQ’s Eckhart Nickel about her love of philosophy and porn, her night dreams, her views on American society and "the capitalist nature of emotional relationships in the 21st century."

Grey even reveals details about her first forays into movie directing. “Each one of my scenes is based on dialogue – but the language is sex,” she said. Grey, who has more than 50 adult feature films in her portfolio, has branched out to mainstream throughout her stardom. Grey stars in Steven Soderbergh’s “The Girlfriend Experience” and was featured as part of the art work for The Smashing Pumpkins 2007 album “Zeitgeist.” She also has modeled for American Apparel and she made the 2009 Rolling Stone Magazine’s Hot List. December’s Playboy streets today on newsstands and online; the November issue of GQ magazine’s Germany version is available now in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. 

The Neuromancer movie may never get off the ground, but a performance/video installation version is coming to New York next week. When Sasha Grey accepted her Fleshbot award via video last night, she mentioned she's co-starring in a Neuromancer performance.

How exactly does Case manage to last six hours? The program says it goes from noon to six on Sunday Nov. 22 at the New Museum and Grey mentioned those times as well. I'm guessing there's some repetition in there, but will Grey and the other performers be there the whole time? Possibly the "faux virtual reality" sequences involving sculptures and Gamelan music will occupy five of the six hours?

Steven Soderbergh has said that it was the right decision to hire porn star Sasha Grey as the lead actress in one of his movies. The director cast the 'AVN Best Three-Way Sex Scene' award winner in The Girlfriend Experience, which was recently launched via Amazon's video-on-demand channel.

Soderbergh told The Daily Telegraph: "I'm really proud of it and, structurally, it's like my film The Limey. It is very non-linear. "Using Sasha was definitely correct. She's not flaunting anything, but she has a comfort level with sexuality that you just can't fake."He added: "For me, I feel that everyone I see on TV looks like he or she is in porn. It seems to be the accepted aesthetic in terms of grooming and dress."

Even as a young teenager, the picture-perfect California girl knew what shat she wanted to be a porn star.

“There are women like me that do this job out of joy and conviction,” Sasha told ‘Spiegel Online’ in an interview.

In the November edition of Germany’s ‘GQ’ magazine the wild American girl is shown wearing knee-high stockings and underwear. The pics making her almost look innocent!

Innocent? Well, compared to her first porno, a gang-bang with six blokes and her aim to go beyond hardcore, this photo shoot was harmless.

Recently the self-acclaimed porn rookie has made her jump to Hollywood, staring for acclaimed director Steven Soderbergh (46, ‘Sex, Lies, and Videotape’, ‘Erin Brockovich’, ‘Traffic’, and the ‘Oceans’ trilogy).

Sasha Grey, the breakthrough star of director Steven Soderbergh's "The Girlfriend Experience," will present the keynote address at the 2010 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE). Grey's speech will occur on January 8 at 1:30 pm at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

When I first heard that Lee Demarbe, director of Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter, was teaming up with one of my cult film acting heroes, David Hess, and porn star Sasha Grey, I was as intrigued as any man could be over the gathering of such an odd cast.

Hess, now older, is immortalized in the exploitation hall of fame for psychotic performances of the 1970s and 1980s in films such as the original The Last House on the Left, Hitch-Hike and The House on the Edge of the Park.

Grey, well we know what she does for a living. But that’s not to knock the actresses and her attempt to transition to film. Smash Cut is officially her first film, not The Girlfriend Experience, even though it was released first.

And to complete the round-up, Demarbe really hasn’t made a relevant film since his 2001 Jesus kicks ass film that made some cult status impact. Titles such as The Dead Sleep Easy and Vampiro: Angel, Devil, Hero have taken up Demarbe’s time since then.

But alas we get to Smash Cut, Demarbe’s schlocky b-movie about a crazed director named Able Whitman (Hess) who after receiving terrible reviews on his latest films goes on a mad killing spree of those around him. When one of the victim’s sisters, April Carson (Grey), hires an infamous private detective named Isaac Beaumonde (Jesse Buck), Whitman finds himself trying to cover up the tracks.

Set over the course of one weekend in the posh restaurants, hotels and bars of Manhattan, The Girlfriend Experience explores the inner life of a young, high-price call girl as she tries to balance her fraught career path with her seemingly typical long-term relationship with a personal trainer. The action, so to speak, takes place in October 2008—with the financial industry in free-fall, Chelsea, the escort in question, spends less time between the sheets than she does listening to various affluent white guys completely freak out about the economy.

Directed with signature finesse by Steven Soderbergh, the film's kinetic, intimate style turns out to be an ideal frame for the performances of the non-professional actors who fill out the principal roles (as in his previous film Bubble). Surprisingly subtle adult film star Sasha Grey slips into the part of Chelsea with guarded ease, and real-life trainer Chris Santos is pitch-perfect as her live-in boyfriend, who's left devastated when he can't stop her from crossing the line with one of her clients.

The Girlfriend Experience ultimately turns out to be a rather cold one - perhaps reflecting the simulated commercial arrangement at its core.

But there's something curiously engaging about adult star Sasha Grey, in her mainstream debut, despite the flatness of this performance.

Set in the lead-up to the 2008 US presidential election, Soderbergh's low-budget ``time capsule from the not-too-distant past'' takes place over just five days.

Today her brand new Grey Art Productions company announced a major multi-year "first-look" broadcast deal with Spice Digital Networks Los Angeles, the leading adult content provider in the broadcast market.
As part of the deal, films from Grey Art Productions will now air on the Spice Networks' channels Spice Xcess and Fresh. Grey, who from early on has been dubbed the first "Existentialist porn star," might also be the most business savvy and most diversely multitalented porn star.
