Jones (I really quite liked this book, mainly because it was for younger readers (14 years and under?) and therefore super easy to read and didn’t require much effort – which is absolutely lovely for when you’re half dead on the tube with very few working brain cells!)

I’m finished!! My report was great too so I guess even though it has been a mighty tough placement as in demanding kids…I have still gone out on the high I wanted to go out on!

I am pleased with how it has gone and although the kids were tough the school was good and the staff were amazing! It’s the first time I have felt like part of the teaching staff rather than the student!

I was really hoping to get some supply there til I get sorted with a teaching job..and the school have said that they will have me back, but my stupid CRB needs to be updated so not sure if it’s going to be possible before Christmas but I have my fingers crossed!

I should be thrilled that it’s all over but to be honest I’m really not! I’m sort of feeling that I have worked hard and have nothing to show for it as I have no teaching job at the minute due to lack of jobs! I’ll get there though – the hard part is over!!

I would like to have better hygen. Take showers, brush teeth, and clean my face DAILY. I want to eat more fruits and veggies when i feel like snaking, instead of chips!
I also want to try to get ready everyday befor school because when i do get ready (which is rare because i hate waking up so early) i feel soooo much better about myself! But when i go all scrubbed out i feel like doo-doo. So i also want to do that!

inner guru added an entry about Do 'Morning Pages' for 1 year, (DE 12/08 – DE 11/09) ... then more?:

I’m still on track. (yeah) – haven’t missed even one day and closing in on a full year of doing Morning Pages!

It feels fabulous and empowering and triumphant. I’m proud and inspired and thankful to Julia Cameron for insights discovered through the process. I see my gremlins more clearly. I’m more aware of what triggers discipline tantrums that end up preventing creative brilliance – or at least creative openness.

It’s a grounding, yet uplifting ritual that has brought me to my knees and to my tippy-toes.

I’ve been stuck in this awful job for 1.5 years.
Only 32 hours a week. No benefits of any kind. No paid sick days or vacation or holidays. The great catch 22, of course, every interview i go on is an unpaid work day – something i can’t really afford now, yet i need to look b/c i’m not making enough $$ on top of 10 other reasons i don’t belong there.

I recently had 2 interviews for a job that i was so utterly perfect for, it hurts. Especially as i haven’t heard from them since.

Depression is setting in… as i now look outside non-profit (a dying breed in this economy). The language in these listings makes me ill…

Of sprained ankles
Lippenblut added an entry about Learn From My Mistakes:

Mistake:
One and a half month ago I sprained my right ankle while doing jumping jacks. Not only did I exercise in socks, no I just had to keep moving after my ankle already hurt, because I refused to acept that I had to discontinue my exercise. I got my bill the next morning, when my ankle hurt even more and I had to hobble through the next three weeks. There wasn’t much with exercise then!

What’s to be learned:
- Exercise with shoes on, whenever it’s about jumping (dancing included) and running
- One day without training is the wiser option to a longer period of time without exercise

Eliza is my housemate. We’ve known each other for two years, ever since she moved to this city knowing no-one at all here, and I think we’ve got to know each other well since then.

Sometimes we seem really close and we talk a lot; at other times we can hardly string a sentence together. Her moods are very up-and-down; more so than anyone else’s that I’ve ever encountered. But there are good reasons for that, beyond the usual “life stuff” – work, money, family, future, and so on – that can make anybody’s moods fluctuate. I know that, and yet I find it difficult to cope the uncertainty and tension that can take over at times.

When she’s on good form, as she has been recently, she’s a kind, warm, funny and wonderful friend to have. This goal is a reminder to myself to be the best friend I can be for her… all the time.
