Meat with Fruit
It's time for something fresh! Even on cold fall days, eating something that reminds you of summer is a nice change of pace. We've been eating rich, comforting foods but I feel that a simple piece of meat paired with a fresh, cold fruit salsa or salad is just right for today. If you can't find those perfect fruits, feel free to substitute anything that looks good in the market. Listen to your inner 'chef'. If she thinks it sounds good, it will be good!

Everyday Menus: Meatball Corn Stew
I love the textures and flavors of this rich crockpot stew. Although the ingredient list is long, it goes together quickly and you'll come home to the most amazing aromas. Serve this hearty stew with some quick scones, a sweet and tart green salad, and a classic fall dessert.

Everyday Menus: Crockpot Chicken Cacciatore
This rich and simple crockpot chicken dish has all of the flavors of the traditional recipe but is much easier to make. All you do is combine all of the ingredients in the slow cooker, turn it on, then come back hours later and enjoy! Serve with hot cooked pasta, a crisp green salad, and garlic toast.

Crockpot Comfort Foods
Comfort foods are always soothing and delicious. And there's only one thing that improves these recipes: making them easier! The crockpot comes to the rescue, acting as your sous chef while you go about your day. And then you'll come home to wonderful aromas that are (almost) as comforting as the food itself. Enjoy these easy recipes, including Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings.

Everyday Menus: Parmesan Roast Pork
Roast pork is such a wonderful fall dinner recipe. The tender meat is easy to cook and adapts to almost any flavor. Two kinds of Parmesan cheese - shredded and grated - add interest to the coating on this juicy roast. Serve it with scalloped potatoes and an easy recipe for sugar snap peas.

Mummy Franks with Vampire Dip
And our last Halloween treat is this wonderful snack of hot dogs wrapped up in puff pastry to look like a mummy. Not only is this a fun recipe, but it's delicious. The puff pastry really adds a nice crisp texture contrast to the juicy franks. And the Vampire Dip is super easy and tasty too. Happy Halloween!

Jack-O-Lantern Cake
I'm having the most fun making Halloween recipes! I hope you're enjoying it too. This day's offering is this cute Jack-O-Lantern (or should it be Jack O' Lantern?) cake. You can decorate any shape of cake with this design - I just happened to get lucky and found a pumpkin-shaped foil cake pan at the grocery store.

Top 10 Chili Recipes
Chili is the perfect recipe for any fall weekend; especially Halloween. With family members in and out of the house, a pot of chili keeping warm on the stove or in the crockpot is so convenient. And the chili just gets better the longer it cooks! These ten recipes are my favorites. And of course, Cheese Crackers are the best accompaniment.
